CFX_Dictionary is a Cold Fusion eXtension, providing RFC2229 compliant client access to dictionary definitions from a set of natural language dictionary databases on the Internet. |
CFX_Dictionary gives your users access to a rich set of online resources when you want to provide them with the ability to define, search or translate a word or phrase.
Online dictionaries come in all shapes and sizes and include alternative dictionaries, thesaurus', elemental databases, the CIA world factbook, Gazetteers, Jargon dictionaries, Acronym dictionaries and more.
CFX_Dictionary is not a spell checker but, it can go beyond the standard lookup and define functions with some dictionary servers offering Regular Expression, SOUNDEX, prefix/suffix and distance based search options that allow you to find just the right word or phrase you need.
