Unlike some other custom tags found in Macromedia's Tag Gallery, this tag uses standard ODBC API and thus is capable of working not only with Access files, but also on any type of ODBC database like Oracle and SQL Server.
Another characteristic is also that all functionalities returning informations about database are centralized in the same convenient tag: datasources on a server, tables inside datasources, columns inside tables, etc.
CFX_OBDCInfo does not return any data contained in the database, but information about its structure like tables in your datasources, columns in your tables, names, types, sizes, descriptions, indexes and more.
The evaluation version includes all functionalities except that only the first 5 rows of any request are generated. If you have only 5 datasources, each one having only 5 tables with only 5 columns, then you don't have to buy the complete version!
