What Is Homesite/Studio Fusedoc Generator for CFML? |
|
Use this tool to reverse engineer a CFM file and automatically produce Fusedoc based on the working code. |
Homesite/Studio Fusedoc Generator for CFML Every day new companies are recognizing the power of having Fusedocs in every ColdFusion file in their applications. Fusedocs provide an easy to understand XML documentation format for each file in an application. In addition to documenation, new tools based around the Fusedoc standard allow for improved testing and development techniques. The SecretAgents Fusedoc Generator can reverse engineer working ColdFusion code and automatically produce a Fusedoc.
While Fusedocs have always been thought of as blueprints for new software there is very little information on using Fusedocs for documenting existing applications. The SecretAgents Fusedoc Generator fills this void. It can reverse engineer CFML code and determine what variables are used in the CFML file. It has the ability to determine whether the variable is coming in or out of the file and figure out most variable datatypes.
Features:
Integrates with Homesite 5, Homesite+ and CF Studio 5This tool plugs into tools most ColdFusion developers already use. Once installed, by opening an existing ColdFusion file and pressing a hotkey, a Fusedoc is inserted at the top. The Fusedoc will be in correct XML format according to the Fusedoc DTD at www.Fusebox.org.
Works on ANY CFML ApplicationFusedocs were invented by Fusebox developers, but Fusedocs do not require using Fusebox. The Fusedoc generator simply reads CFML files, what framework and methodology the architect uses does not affect the Fusedocs.
Reads CFML TagsThe SecretAgents Fusedoc Generator can read almost every CFML tag in the language. It extracts which variables are necessary to make each tag operate and which variables each tag produces.
Reads CFML FunctionsThis tool can read almost every CFML function in the language. It can handle nested functions and determine which variables the function requires along with return variables produced by the function.
Reads CFQUERY SQLThis tool can read various forms of SQL in cfquery tags. It can read select, insert, update and delete statements. From the SQL it can determine what variables were used and what variables are produced.
Reads HTML TagsSome HTML tags pass form and url variables out of a fuse. This tool can extract these variables.
Determines Data TypeCertain tags and functions produce and require specific data types. Depending on where the variable is used, the SecretAgents Fusedoc Generator makes an educated guess at most data types.
Make use of other Fusedoc Tools!Numerous tools exist for files containing Fusedocs. Such as the SecretAgents Test Harness Generator and the SecretAgents Overnight Coding Service.
